Hello and welcome back to session 4 – Mending the Mind and Body for NF!

• The goals of this session are to:
  • learn new ways to use our bodies to elicit the RR
  • learn negative automatic thoughts and thought distortions
  • learn how to develop adaptive thoughts that will contribute to the RR and help us manage stress and NF symptoms
  • Then, we will demonstrate different ways to use an RR technique called chair yoga.
  • We discuss our negative automatic thoughts and thought distortions that keep us in the SR.
  • We will also introduce ways to develop adaptive thoughts that contribute to the RR.

We will start the session like we have with previous sessions by reviewing the material we’ve learned so far. Pay close attention because you will be quizzed at the end of today’s session!
